CR & CRL Series Overview

The CR and CRL Series are rugged bar-and-plate air-cooled aftercoolers designed specifically for cooling compressed air from rotary screw and rotary vane compressors. They efficiently remove heat from hot compressed air, lower the outlet temperature, reduce moisture carryover, and protect downstream equipment such as dryers, filters, and pneumatic tools.

Typical Applications

  • General Manufacturing: Plant air systems, pneumatic tools, and automated machinery.
  • Automotive & Metal Fabrication: Air supply for paint booths, welding, and assembly lines.
  • Food & Beverage Packaging: Blow molding, bottling lines, and pneumatic conveying.
  • Construction & Mining: Portable and stationary compressor packages for tools and equipment.
  • Pharmaceutical & Electronics: Clean, dry instrument air and process air systems.
  • Power Generation & Utilities: Instrument air, control systems, and breathing air.

The Benefits of CR & CRL Series Aftercoolers

The CR and CRL Series provide efficient and reliable cooling for compressed air systems. By quickly removing heat from the compressed air leaving the compressor, they reduce moisture content, prevent condensation in the air lines, and protect dryers, filters, valves, and tools from heat-related damage and corrosion.

Featuring a durable bar-and-plate aluminum core, these aftercoolers offer excellent heat transfer with low pressure drop. They are available with a wide range of motor options including single-phase, three-phase, 575V, and explosion-proof configurations, as well as pneumatic motors for hazardous locations.

Choose the CR Series for standard applications or the CRL Series when lower noise levels are required for indoor or noise-sensitive environments. Both series help improve system reliability, extend equipment life, and deliver consistent, high-quality compressed air across a wide range of industrial applications.
