Overview:
When this air is compressed, moisture (known as humidity) in the air is also compressed at the same rate. If not removed, the water (and other particles) can be harmful to your pneumatically operated equipment. Additionally, through the compression process air becomes hot – contribuiting to safety concerns and damage to your system, and ultimatly a poor quality product.
Air compressor aftercoolers, moisture separators, and float drains can alleviate this problem through the action of cooling the air, forceing water to condense and with a moisture seperator, it simply drains away taking with it many of the other contaminants. The result is clean, cool air that will provide the better quality and increases the performance of your air operated processes.
